Founder
Profile: Ann Schrooten is an attorney and lives in Chandler, Arizona with
her husband Mark and their four children, Hilary, Mary, Jack and Eric.
Their son, Jack was born in 1998, and has a diagnosis of congenital
muscular dystrophy. As a consequence of his disease, Jack is severely
developmentally delayed and has been ventilator dependent since 4 months
of age. Through her own experiences and in talking with other parents of
medically fragile children, Ann understands the tremendous stresses placed
on parents caring for children with complex medical needs. Recognizing the
need for parents to take "time-out", Ann founded the Willow Tree
Foundation with the hope of making a small difference in the lives of
these very special parents. You can read more about her son, Jack, under
the "Stories" section or at
Jack's
Blog. |
